Release v2.9.0 ​

A major release — smarter verification workflows with two-way communication, a redesigned payment experience, wallet personalisation, and improved bulk uploads.

What's new ​

Two-way verification communication ​

Verification requests are now a conversation, not a one-way process. Organisations can request more information from students, and students can respond — all within the Wallet.

Highlights:

  • Request more info — organisations can send a verification back to the student with a message asking for additional details
  • In-app chat history — every message between the student and organisation is saved, creating a clear audit trail
  • Notifications — students receive an in-app notification and see an "Action Required" button when a response is needed
  • Cancel requests — students can cancel pending verification requests and get their verification token back; organisations can view all cancelled verifications with full history
  • Safe document deletion — if you try to delete a document with an active or approved verification, you'll see a clear warning explaining what will happen

Redesigned payment experience ​

Payments have been completely overhauled for a cleaner, more flexible experience.

Highlights:

  • Monthly or annual — toggle between monthly and annual billing on any subscription, with prices updating in real time
  • Multi-currency support — products now display prices in your currency, with AED (UAE Dirham) newly added
  • One-time purchases — products that aren't subscriptions are now handled cleanly as one-time payments; free one-time products don't require card details
  • See what you're getting — each plan now shows its included features in an expandable dropdown, so you know exactly what's included before you buy

Wallet personalisation ​

Make your Wallet your own with custom category icons and more visual product browsing.

Highlights:

  • Custom category icons — choose a picture from your device to personalise any document category from the preferences menu
  • Product images — plans and products now feature header images for a more visual browsing experience
  • Reorderable products — products can be sorted and reordered for easier browsing

Improved bulk document upload ​

The bulk document upload experience has been redesigned with a friendlier interface and more flexibility.

Highlights:

  • Updated interface — a cleaner, more intuitive upload experience
  • Student matching — match documents to students by student ID or email address
  • Verification option — choose whether bulk-uploaded documents should be sent for verification
  • Student ID in bulk upload — student IDs can now be included when bulk-uploading students

Updated free tier — Pearsana Explorer ​

The free tier has been renamed to Pearsana Explorer with an updated description and allowance:

  • 5 document uploads (updated from 7)
  • Portal access — explore universities and programmes
  • No card details required
  • No time limit

Improvements ​

  • Verification storage bar — a new storage indicator on the verifications screen shows how many verification tokens you have remaining
  • Longer product descriptions — product descriptions now support up to 500 characters for more detail
  • Consistent verification counts — verification requests sent and received now match correctly across all views
  • Registrar permissions — registrars can now enter student IDs as expected
